Prayer Shawl Ministry -
(A ministry for you and those near to you.)
Letting you know. . .
Prayer Shawls are always available for you. They are created as tangible evidence of God's presence in times of need - comfort in illness, in times of unusual stress, anxiety, decision-making, guidance for self or others, when children leave home for school or otherwise, etc. They are available in the Father Pio Room in the cabinets under the windows. A sign out book is on the counter. There is no contribution; they can only be "given". You can also contact the parish office for help or any CCW member.

Good Shepherd Men's Group
Like most other activities, the coronavirus pandemic has put a damper on activities of the Good Shepherd Men's Group. They were fortunate to complete a cash raffle just as things were being closed. A pancake breakfast scheduled for Palm Sunday had to be canceled. Except for an informal campfire gathering earlier this spring, the men had not met since mid-February. This is a group organized for fellowship and to complete projects for the benefit of the Parish. On Tuesday evening they met to coordinate some projects already underway.
Maybe you noticed the new concrete walkway near the entrance to the church. That work was completed this week by a hearty crew that didn't mind working through the heat of the day. Hidden away down stairs is another concrete pour that is part of a bigger project to provide needed storage. Next on the Men's Group project list will be new shrubbery near the entrance. The plan is to complete the work this fall. There's talk of doing maintenance work on the storage shed, along with some tree work. Lastly, the Good Shepherd Men's Group has contributed to a rectory project in Montello being done by the Men of St. John the Baptist Church.
Good Shepherd Parish men of all ages are welcome to join the group. Your company will be appreciated. Our next meeting is scheduled following 5:15 p.m. Mass on Tuesday, September 8 in the Good Shepherd Parish basement. The meetings are brief and the fellowship is hard to beat.
